The Wines
2006 Barossa Valley Shiraz
The colour is vibrant red with purple hues. An intense and lifted nose, displaying blackberry, dark cherry, dark chocolate, mocha, spice & vanilla. The palate is elegant, yet powerful, with rich ripe fruits of blackberry, plums, dark cherries and dark chocolate, all built around wonderfully integrated acidity and soft, supple, ripe tannins. The wine is wonderfully balanced and has great length and persistence on the palate. Whilst excellent drinking now, can be confidently cellared for 10+ years.

2006 Barossa Valley Shiraz - 91/100 - James Halliday - 2009 Australian Wine Companion
"Concentrated mulberry and fruitcake aromas; pushing the ripeness limits, the palate is thickly textured, and delivers plenty of fruit on the finish. Screwcap.14.5% alc. Drink to 2016."
2006 Barossa Valley Shiraz - 92/100 - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
Blackberry, black raspberry, mocha, aniseed with some toast and pepper. It's thick, sweet and richly fruited but has good shape and definition in the mouth and a long finish closing with a little grip and some warmth. Good plush wine and tasty too. Drink : 2008-2016.
