2009 Barossa Valley Rosé

Cooper Burns 2009 Barossa Valley Rose

Our 2009 Rosé is created using the saignée method of running juice off from crushed grapes before fermentation.

The fruit was hand picked, destemmed and gently crushed to an open fermenter. We cold soaked the fruit for approximately 2 days, and once the juice had extracted enough colour and flavour, we ran small volumes off for fermentation in well seasoned oak. Once the temperature controlled fermentation was complete, we racked the wine, and bottled it to capture the vibrant fruit characters.

Tasting notes

The wine is pale red with a vibrant pink rim. The nose is displays lifted strawberries and raspberries, with hints of cream and Turkish delights. In the mouth, strawberries and raspberries follow through on the richly textured palate. Sugar dry, the lively acid is offset by strawberry fruit sweetness. An approachable and fruit driven wine that will be best enjoyed now – don’t delay.
