Mature Release

A wine that pushes all the buttons and the envelope out to the edge of extremity. Almost a drag queen dancing in inky mascara, vermilion to opaque; giddy with a heady perfume of violet, boysenberry, mulberry and dark cherry. Before skidding across the floor, the high heels are replaced with platform boots. Some smoked meat, tar, anise, vanilla and finely massaged tannins are interwoven across the plush veneer, turning the parade in the direction of savouriness. Impeccably made. Smooth, seamless and polished. 95/100 August 2017
